San Diego, CA (PRWEB) October 16, 2012
ElliptiGO Inc., creators of the world’s fastest elliptical cycles, today announced that 2012 Olympian Julie Culley will be running her debut marathon at the ING New York City Marathon on November 4th. Culley began using the ElliptiGO as her primary tool for cross-training about a year ago. In 2012, she has been able to stay healthy and injury-free, which resulted in a win at the U.S. Olympic Trials in the 5,000m and the setting of a personal best at the Olympics. Culley has increased her training volume since the Olympics and feels ready to compete in her first marathon.
“2012 has been my best year ever in part because the ElliptiGO has helped me avoid injury and allowed me to train at a higher level for longer,” remarked Culley. “Listening to my body and using cross-training to fill in the gaps in my training has been key.”
“We’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Julie over the past year as she has incorporated the ElliptiGO into her training,” stated Bryan Pate, Co-President and Co-Founder of ElliptiGO. “We’re thrilled with her win at the Trials and her performance at the Olympics, and so pleased to be a part of her story. We wish her all the best at her first marathon in New York and we’ll be there to cheer her on.”
The 2012 ING New York City Marathon takes place on Sunday November 4th with more than 47,000 runners expected.
