Pocono Mountains, PA (PRWEB) October 23, 2012
With fall in full-swing, the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau (PMVB) continues their partnership with the New York Jets football team via a Facebook promotion through mid-November.
Earlier this season, the PMVB launched the first of three monthly sweepstakes, the Jets’ “Gear Up for a Getaway” tab on the Jets Facebook page, which has a fan base of over 1.4 million. The team has been encouraging fans to visit the tab to enter to win a Pocono Mountains winter getaway, by “liking” the PMVB (@PoconoTourism) page on Facebook.
"Working with the New York Jets allows the PMVB to reach a large market of New Jersey and New York residents who are likely to visit the Pocono Mountains," said David West, vice president of marketing for the PMVB. "This partnership allows the Pocono Mountains to introduce winter offerings that are close to home and make travel easy and enjoyable."
Winners from the monthly contests will have a chance to stay at one of the region's exquisite resorts, allowing them an opportunity to experience all the region has to offer in addition to skiing and snowboarding, such as farm to table dining, lavish spas and a variety of other winter snowsports.
“Partnering with the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau allows us to bring added value to our fans,” said Jets senior vice president, Marc Riccio. “Giving fans the opportunity to enjoy unique experiences and helping a partner increase their Facebook audience is a win-win for everyone.”
Since September, the tab featured different packages including New York Jets gear and a Pocono Mountains lodging facility and ski resort. Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort and Shawnee Mountain partnered to offer the first prize. October’s giveaway will end on October 22 includes accommodations at the Inn at Pocono Manor and skiing and snowboarding passes for Camelback Mountain Resort. Finally, the third giveaway, beginning on October 29 and running through November 19, features a stay at Woodloch Resort with skiing or snowboarding at Ski Big Bear.
