Enterprise deployments require effective scalability, availability and management. Addressing these demands requires enterprises to use techniques such as deployment partitioning, load balancing, auto-scaling, lazy loading, and separation of management and monitoring. To help IT professionals facilitate these efforts, WSO2 will present a webinar that explores how the cloud-enabled WSO2 Carbon enterprise middleware platform optimizes a deployment architecture and supports multi-tenancy best practices.
The one-hour technical session, “Enterprise Use Case Webinar - Exploring Scalability, Availability & Deployment Management with WSO2 Carbon," is being held twice on Thursday, September 27: 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. PDT for the Americas and 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. GMT for Europe and Asia-Pacific. Optimizing Deployment with WSO2 Carbon
The webinar will begin by examining core features of the WSO2 Carbon, the award-winning cloud-enabled middleware platform, covering specific aspects of scalability, availability and deployment management. The session will continue with a discussion of various deployment architectures and deployment patterns. These include portioning tenants properly in order to effectively scale, as well as using lazy loading to ensure that only the required artifacts are loaded at any given time. Key topics will include:
· Setting up clusters fronted by WSO2 Elastic Load Balancer.
· Implementing tenant-based cluster partitioning.
· Assigning complete clusters to specific tenants, e.g. "private jet mode."
· Separating worker and management nodes.
· Setting up the lazy loading of deployment artifacts.
The webinar will be presented by Afkham Azeez, WSO2 director of architecture, who specializes in distributed computing, SOA and J2EE technologies. Azeez is an Apache Software Foundation (ASF) member, serves as an Apache Project Management Committee member, and is a committer and long-time contributor on a number of ASF projects. He also is the author of “Clustering implementation for Apache Axis2” and a co-author of the “Axis2 Web Services” book.
