The Web Marketing Association (WMA) awarded Best Military Website and 9 other WebAwards to Raleigh-based web and software developers Atlantic BT. Atlantic BT doesn't set out to win awards, but awards including Inc. 5,000 Fastest Growth Companies, Triangle Business Journal's "Best Places To Work" and other awards come from the innovative ways Atlantic BT helps customers develop websites, Internet marketing and mobile apps.

The Web Marketing Association (WMA) awarded Best Military Website and 9 other WebAwards to Raleigh-based web and software development company Atlantic BT. The WMA was created by a group of respected Internet marketers with a broad range of expertise who promote and share web design excellence. “We are excited to win 10 awards from WMA this year,” said Eileen Allen, Atlantic BT’s Creative Director. “We don’t manage our business just to win awards, but we win awards because of the innovative ways we help customers develop websites, Internet marketing and mobile apps.”, a website designed to help equip the American military, won the “Best Military Website” award. Atlantic BT took the honor as one of 19 agencies to win “Best of Industry” awards. “We understand a large number of entries from 42 countries were submitted this year, so my web design team and every web programmer, project manager, UX designer, Internet marketer, and QA tester is excited to be recognized by the WMA,” Allen shared. “We are very glad ADS won, because creating was a great collaborative effort and we are very proud of the final product.”

“People don’t think of the U.S. military as one of the largest organizations in the world,” Mark Foulkrod, Atlantic BT’s president, explained. “But the logistics and expertise required to keep our troops protected and equipped are amazingly complex and challenging.” ADS, Inc., a Virginia Beach, Virginia based company with over 300 employees, is the leader in operational equipment solutions “at home or in theater”. The company’s catalog includes more than 50,000 Stock Keeping Units (SKUs), from meals to chemical protection suits.

“ADS helps source and supply everything from clothes to weapons, so presented unique challenges,” Eileen Allen added. “ faced challenges every mission-critical website wrestles with, such as how to create an intuitive design with clear navigation and engaging content. On top of that, must help support troops who may be in harm’s way.” Allen also noted that it is not every day you work with a company with three locations in Afghanistan.

When Atlantic BT’s CEO Jon Jordan was asked why the company he founded in 1998 wins awards such as their 10 WebAwards, a “Best Places To Work” award from the Triangle Business Journal, and a fourth year on Inc.’s Fastest Growing Companies, Jordan said, “We love what we do, have courageous and creative customers such as ADS, hire exceptional creative experts and are guided by a handful of core values.” When it was pointed out that Atlantic BT shares some traits with the military, CEO Jordan laughed and said, “Any great company shares values with our armed forces such as love of country and a strong mission.
