Ellumen, a leading provider of professional services and IT solutions, announced today it was awarded the Chief Information Officer - Solutions and Partners 3 Small Business (CIO-SP3 SB) Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) for IT solutions and services. Managed by the National Institutes of Health IT Acquisition and Assessment Center (NITAAC), the CIO-SP3 GWAC serves as a vehicle for all federal agencies, state and local governments to procure services and solutions in ten task areas, including: biomedical research and healthcare; CIO support; imaging; IT operations and maintenance; integration services; critical infrastructure protection and information assurance; digital government; and software development.
The contract is an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) with a ten-year base period worth up to $20 billion. Under the terms of the contract, Ellumen will operate and maintain support for CIO-SP3 under the established Program Management Office. Planning and monitoring are key elements of the successful execution of any work effort and Ellumen’s corporate management approach is based on tailoring best practices from PMI, ITIL, and CMMI to meet the unique needs of each customer’s effort.

This latest win for Ellumen comes on the heels of winning a contract from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for operations and maintenance support for the National Cancer Institute National Biomedical Imaging Archive (NBIA), a searchable, national online archive integrating in vivo cancer images with clinical and genomic data. Ellumen operates and maintains technical support for NBIA, which is supported by the Center for Biomedical Informatics and Information Technology (CBIIT) and the National Cancer Informatics Program (NCIP), the successor to the NCI’s caBIG program.
