Digital Sports Group have unveiled the PFA Facebook profile page of Spanish striker Fernando Torres

DSG became the official digital partner of the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) earlier this year and have since launched a number of Player profile fan pages on social media site Facebook as well as providing official player pages on their site football.co.uk. On this occasion the player to be launched by DSG is Chelsea and Spanish international striker Fernando Torres.

Torres, 28, is considered to be amongst the best goalscorers in World football, although he has endured a difficult time since moving to Chelsea in 2011. He managed to silence some of his critics with two goals in Spain’s 4-0 win over Republic of Ireland at Euro 2012.

Managing Director at DSG, Simon Boynton thinks Torres is sure to be a hit on Facebook “Fernando Torres is one of the most easily recognisable players in the Premier League at the moment.”
“His time at Liverpool made him a huge hit with football fans in England and although he has yet to reach his best at Chelsea, more is sure to come from him!”

Torres is the most expensive player in English football, having joined Chelsea from Liverpool for a reported £50million in January 2011.
