Mobile telecommunications companies cannot afford to compete simply on cost. Instead, they need to raise the bar on innovation to attract new subscribers and encourage customer loyalty. WSO2 will be joined by 2degrees to conduct a case study webinar on the implementation of a service-oriented architecture (SOA) using WSO2 Carbon middleware, which has been central to the mobile company’s success. The webinar will examine how 2degrees developed and launched its mobile services in 18 months using the WSO2 Enterprise Service Bus (WSO2 ESB) to manage its service mediation and orchestration. Additionally, the session will review 2degrees’ architecture and how the mobile telecom provider has added other WSO2 Carbon middleware to develop, expand and enhance its mobile services. Among those discussed will be WSO2 Data Services Server, which exposes data as Web services to quickly bring competitive mobile plans to market, and WSO2 Business Process Server for services requiring advanced orchestration.
The webinar will be conducted by three experts from WSO2 and 2degrees, who were involved in the mobile services development project:
· Neeraj Satija, 2degrees software development manager, has over 14 years of industry experience working on the setup, launch and growth of startup telecom companies, contributing extensive telecommunications domain knowledge.
· Asanka Abeysinghe, WSO2 director of solutions architecture, specializes in working with enterprise customers to design and architect mission-critical applications, business integration, and mobile solutions.
