miSecureMessages Apps available for Android™, Apple, and BlackBerry® devices

I’m very impressed with the continual advancement of the miSecureMessages product line. miSecureMessages is an ideal solution for any organization that needs to communicate while keeping their mobile communications and data secure.

AMTELCO is pleased to announce that a new miSecureMessages App for Apple® iPad®, iPhone®, and iPod touch® is now available. miSecureMessages is a secure, two-way instant smartphone and tablet messaging App that uses encryption to keep communications private. miSecureMessages saves critical time, and is available as an on-site or cloud-based solution. In addition to Apple, miSecureMessages Apps are also available for Android™ and BlackBerry® devices.

New features in the Apple release include an improved passcode entry to speed access to the miSecureMessages App, and new time zone support, which streamlines the process of sending and receiving messages in different time zones. To speed and simplify setup, Help text and buttons that offer additional information are now available on the Setup screen. Phone numbers are limited to alphanumeric characters, helping users avoid inadvertent entry of incorrect characters. To further enhance security, this updated version offers password masking of the license key on the Setup screen. In addition, a new Refresh capability allows users to quickly update the Inbox and Contact screens, ensuring the information they see is always up to date.

Another new feature is the Notification Poke. Using this, a dialogue box alerts the user about a new message. After the initial notification, a Notification Poke glides down from the top of the screen. The user can simply tap on the notification poke to view the message, or go about using the App without interruption. To ensure that important messages are received at all times, the miSecureMessages App now also checks for an Internet connection when the App is opened, every two minutes, and every time the device communicates with the Web service. If no Internet is detected, the App will close, so that the user knows no new messages will be received.
