Mobile Library Rx is a new cloud-based software solution from Infotrieve that helps pharmaceutical sales and marketing teams deliver new research and other high value clinical information to doctors directly from their iPad, iPhone or laptop device. Infotrieve is the leading document delivery service to the pharmaceutical industry, with software solutions used by 78% of all pharmaceutical companies in the world. The new feature sets in Mobile Library Rx were specifically designed for the sales and marketing departments within the life sciences industry.

“Mobile Library Rx from Infotrieve is a solution that helps pharmaceutical sales and marketing teams deliver the right information at the right time as well as track and monitor how physicians interact with that information”.

Today, Infotrieve announced the release of Mobile Library Rx, a software solution that allows sales professionals to provide physicians with instant access to pre-authorized, relevant scientific journal e-prints and other educational materials. One of the unique features of Mobile Library Rx is a closed-loop process that also allows marketing and sales professionals to track and analyze what the physician does with the e-print after it has been electronically delivered. When Infotrieve’s Mobile Library Rx sends e-prints to health care professionals, the software platform collects information on when the physician opened and read the journal article and who they shared it with. This crucial data can be utilized by pharmaceutical sales and marketing leaders to refine sales strategies, inform strategic marketing plans and help sales reps craft effective follow up interactions.

According to Ken Benvenuto, President and Chief Executive Officer of Infotrieve, “Mobile Library Rx from Infotrieve is a solution that helps pharmaceutical sales and marketing teams deliver the right information at the right time as well as track and monitor how physicians interact with that information”.

Overworked physicians are spending only minutes with sales professionals, allowing far less time for any type of product presentation or education. In addition, sales people are under pressure to present more products. An increasing number of physicians refuse to see pharmaceutical sales people at all and many now insist on making an appointment. Sales reps who are trying to present information on multiple products are feeling even more time pressure. Many sales and marketing organizations are recognizing that technology can help address some of these issues. Mobile Library Rx simplifies a new type of pharmaceutical sales process, called e-detailing.

Mobile Library Rx allows pharmaceutical sales to make the most of the limited time they have with physicians by having authorized e-prints of articles from medical journals along with other educational materials loaded and available on their iPad that are very specifically tailored to the physicians’ specialty or area of clinical interest. State and federal regulations strictly limit what promotional items a sales rep can leave with physicians. As a result, more focus is placed on providing health care professionals with relevant clinical data, such as published data on clinical trials or new studies that demonstrate safety, efficacy and patient outcomes. Doctors place a high value on medical data related to the prescriptions they write for patients.
