I believe the ElliptiGO helped keep me aerobically strong during my injury which allowed me to come back to training with a solid base.

The ElliptiGO Project, a group of elite runners focused on using innovative training tools and techniques to improve performance, today announced an outstanding podium finish by Project Member Neely Spence.

Spence, an 8-time NCAA Division II National Champion, ran a 15:33.7 at the USA Road 5K National Championships this past weekend en route to a second place finish behind 2012 Olympian Molly Huddle. This was Spence’s first 5K race as a professional runner and highlights her successful rehabilitation of the foot injury that forced her to pull out of the U.S. Olympic Trials in June.

“I believe the ElliptiGO helped keep me aerobically strong during my injury which allowed me to come back to training with a solid base,” stated Spence. “Now the ElliptiGO acts as a cross training device that gives me a non-impact recovery option. It helps flush my legs and allows me to freshen up for the next run.”

As a member of The ElliptiGO Project, Spence is using innovative training tools and techniques like the ElliptiGO to stay healthy and continue racing at the highest levels. Her hard work and commitment to innovative training is reflected in this performance and bodes well for her future in running.
