The 1Call Division of AMTELCO attended the Eighth Annual Mobile Healthcare Summit, held January 25-26, 2012, in Toronto, Ontario. Healthcare organizations from all over North America attended the summit, looking for mobile solutions to streamline the delivery of healthcare to patients, while also ensuring Protected Health Information (PHI) remains secure.
The 1Call booth featured several innovative mobile healthcare solutions, including miSecureMessages, a powerful smartphone paging and messaging application available for Android™, iPad®, iPhone®, iPod touch®, and BlackBerry® mobile devices. miSecureMessages drew the most interest from attendees because of its unique ability to allow clinicians to communicate more efficiently, and secure PHI simultaneously.
Michael Friedel, 1Call’s Vice President of Sales, stated, “This is our second consecutive year attending the Mobile Healthcare Summit, and it’s obvious that mobile healthcare Apps and the ability to secure PHI are rapidly becoming important tools in allowing healthcare providers to deliver quality healthcare services in an efficient and cost-effective manner. I’m proud that AMTELCO’s 1Call healthcare division has continued to take a leadership position in providing healthcare organizations with communication tools that are flexible and useful in helping them achieve their ultimate goals of delivering quality healthcare and adhering to strict HIPAA and HITECH guidelines on PHI.”
Presenters and panelists at the summit discussed a wide variety of topics, including everything from the impact of social media on healthcare, to building a robust and secure wireless infrastructure. One presenter stated, “If you are just starting to look at implementing wireless communications in your healthcare organization, you are five years behind.”
Other 1Call products that caught the interest of attendees included miOnCall Scheduling, OnTeam Workforce and Department Scheduling, and 1Call’s flagship attendant console and call center product, Infinity, which is used by hundreds of healthcare organizations to efficiently process calls and streamline and automate processes.
