Senior Business Development and eDiscovery Professional Joins TERIS Phoenix

In order to meet the increased demand of corporations to exercise greater control over costs and receive a better understanding of the eDiscovery process TERIS Phoenix created the position of Regional Director of Business Development & eDiscovery Services which was recently filled by Michael Shufeldt, JD.

Richard Saldivar, President of TERIS Arizona and Texas ( recently announced that Michael Shufeldt, JD is joining the Phoenix office as Regional Director of Business Development & eDiscovery Services.

According to Mr. Saldivar, “Michael is a proven visionary and strategic leader in the field of eDiscovery management and information technology. He is dedicated to delivering quality with a customer service attitude, and he maintains a reputation of excellence partnered with uncompromising ethics. We are excited to have him join the Phoenix team.”

Previously, Michael held positions of increasing responsibility as Information Technology Director at Cosgrave Vergeer Kester LLP where he co-founded the firm's eDiscovery practice group. He was the chief eDiscovery advisor, and his expertise in software includes Summation, Relativity, and Caselogistix. He is a strategic and tactical planner, consulted on the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM), and he is an expert in Electronic Data Discovery Best Practices.

Michael graduated with a Juris Doctorate from the Texas Tech University School of Law and a Bachelor of Psychology from Texas Tech University. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Legal Administrators/Oregon Chapter and a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the Project Management Institute and the CIO Forum. In 2011 Michael was named “Unsung Hero” by the Daily Journal of Commerce, is a past Lion’s Club “Cub of the Year”, served as a two-term President of Texas Tech Forensics Union, and is a multiple time forensics tournament champion as well as a recipient of the National NADE Project of the Year. Michael serves the community as a volunteer Debate Judge at Lewis and Clark College and several local high schools.

TERIS has seven regional locations throughout the United States. The Phoenix office has been open for over ten years and recently achieved Service Organization Control (SOC) Type 2 Certification.
