Samuel Shapiro & Company, Inc., a 97-year old logistics leader, recently announced the addition of C. Walter Starr as Chief Financial Officer at its headquarters in Baltimore, MD.
Starr joins Shapiro with more than 25 years of experience in accounting, finance, and management serving in a variety of high level corporate roles including CFO, VP of Finance, Controller, and Director, in small to mid-sized companies in various industries. In addition to his well-rounded financial and management experience, Starr is also proficient within the logistics field through his previous role as CFO and Vice President of Finance & Administration at TBB Global Logistics, a Baltimore-based, non-asset supply chain management company.
In his new position, Starr will be responsible for providing management direction and development to our accounting department, while supervising all aspects of Shapiro’s financial operations.
