The No 1 workplace/HR news publication in the USA is one year officially, for 52 weeks this newsletter have consistently been distributed, every Monday morning to all our subscribers, about 2,000 in number. This publication report news as they unfold every week, HR news, regulatory updates, breaking news, products and services that are informative and beneficial to the HR industry as a whole.

Our story and journey so far…, we started out two year ago with a pilot project called Everything HR to understand the need of the human resources industry. We found knowledge gap among small business organization and new entrant into the profession. There was this hunger to understand and comply with workplace laws especially as it affect time management and wage issues, new professional within the industry - were seeking for some kind of guide that will help them do their job well. While big corporation hired people who are more vast and knowledgeable in workplace laws- they dread bad publicity, and are willing to pay the price to hire the best candidate.

Based on the response from our subscribers from this pilot project, we started to do our own research on how to fill this need. By the time we published this book, workplace weekly newsletter publication had already been established as a legal business entity on September of 2011. As a HR news organization, we get a lot of news wired in from various agencies and this help us to know a lot of what is going on within the industry and the concern of regulators on workplace issues as it affect the employees and employers alike, as well the need of HR professional as we meet to discuss issues that affect us and the profession.

One of the major concerns for the Department of labor this year was the flagrant wage violations all across the country and particularly in some states like Texas and Louisiana. For the EEOC- private sector bias reached all time high at the end of 2011 with Race and sexual harassment on the top list. For the HR Industry, performance management was one of the major concerns as HR professional seek best practices. On workplace safety- OSHA was very concern about the number of workplace fatalities that are reported in the general construction industry due to lack of fall prevention and protection measures.

All these issues lead us to do a research work, using the code of federal regulation as our guide to write yet another book titled: Five Minute HR Trainer for Supervisors and Business Owners. This book has a whole chapter dedicated to wage compliance, a comprehensive guide on how to handle sexual harassment in the workplace, how to conduct workplace investigation, performance management- and the case for continuous feedback, EEOC red line on hiring issues, criminal background check, OSHA reporting requirement and lots more. Our third publication is the Occupational Outlook Handbook 2012-2013 compiled by the U.S. Department of Labor, we made a requested to be one of the publishers from the Bureau of Labor Statistics and we were given the permission to publish. This is a reference material that would help HR professional write a good job description, help school counselor and parent choose the right career path for their student.
