The National Financial Educators Council launches the Personal Finance Speakers Association. This is the first national speaker’s bureau dedicated to financial literacy advocates and educators.
Economic uncertainty, long-term fiscal cliff problems and tax increases are fueling the financial literacy industries growth. There is a need for qualified money management speakers. The NFEC is proactively addressing this need by formalizing a speaker’s association assist those passionate about teaching a promoting financial literacy.
Through this Association the NFEC books, trains and promotes financial educators and advocates. The NFEC matches speaker request with the presenter best suited for the event and the speaker can choose to accept the event. The contract, client relations and promotions are handled by the NFEC’s team.
The NFEC’s Personal Financial Speakers Association provides promotional services to financial educators and advocates based on their ability level. For seasoned professionals, the NFEC helps speakers increase their visibility and speaking opportunities. For novice presenter, the NFEC helps to build their resume and experience.
Members of the Association receive promotional benefits to help raise awareness about the speakers and for the financial literacy movement. Some of the services provided by the NFEC include: website recognition, press releases, article promotions, online video campaigns and alignment with the NFEC’s national promotions.
This service is provided complimentary to anyone with a passion for promoting or teaching personal finance. Each presenter must graduate the Certified Financial Education Instructor coursework prior to their first speaking engagement booked through the NFEC. The CFEI course is provided free for qualified speakers, but an investment is required by those that lack the experience.
The National Financial Educators Council objective is to measurably improve the financial capability of people of all socioeconomic backgrounds and age worldwide. The NFEC’s Personal Finance Speakers Association and mobile personal finance app will help reach more people with money management lessons from qualified instructors. The social enterprise model also provides free finance speakers to select organizations.
