MyStoryApp Brings Back Art of Old Fashioned Story Telling

Share Article

This App gives the tools for anyone to maintain the art of old fashioned story telling, with the release of the full lite version today. This is an app made to interact rather than distract, to bring people together, instead of apart.

Two Northwest sisters and their husbands thought of an idea to help make telling stories to kids easier. The idea started on a crazy road trip filled with surprises. When waylaid in Jackson Hole, Wyoming one dad told a wild story to the five kids about a bear crossing the Yellowstone River. The other dad started thinking about what made the story so great and how it could be duplicated. Then, My Story App was born.

MyStoryApp capitalizes on three things that kids love: iPhones, adult attention, and original stories told by loved ones. They've put these three things together to create the future of storytelling. My Story App gives an endless supply of randomly generated storylines which includes characters, sounds, visuals, verbal prompts, as well as a unique problem and solution linked to a magical ending for every story told. My Story App creates more imaginative stories than anyone could ever think of, at the times needed most: camping, road trips, babysitting, and of course the infamous bedtime.

Best of all, it brings out the creativity in everyone. The endless story lines join with unique prompts to trigger the mind in a direction that no one, even the story teller, can predict.

My Story App has been nominated for's 'Best Parenting App' and has been successfully used in over 30 countries. See promotional video and instructional video here. Download app here. There is a free version available as well (MyStory App Lite).
