Saybrook University invited you to join Dr. Donald Moss, Chair of the college of Mind-Body Medicine, on Monday, Jan. 28th, from 7:00-9:00 PM as he makes a brief presentation, and leads a conversation about the Saybrook degree programs in mind-body medicine. "Human beings in the 21st century are calling out for a new health care, with the following features: An approach to health based on a holistic view of mind, body and spirit, treating the patient as a unique human being, based on a personal, supportive relationship between healer and patient, enabling an active role for the patient in the healing process, and drawing on the inherent healing power of the living organism. The new health care places an emphasis on lifestyle, self-care, and habit changes as tools to optimize health, and shows an acceptance for unconventional alternative interventions and models that appear to work. The new health care is open to prayer, meditation, and spiritual practice as tools for healing, and pursues an integration of physical, psychological, and spiritual practices. The Saybrook University School of Mind-Body Medicine was founded to prepare students to provide this health care in clinical practice, to pursue research to support the new health care, and to transform the system and process of health care to support this new vision."
This event is being held at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa, at 9800 Hyatt Resort Drive, San Antonio, Tx. Attendance is free, but reservations are required for this event. Please visit our website to RSVP.
