Everyone wins. Now states like Pennsylvania, or any other municipality that's barred from posting deals with expiration dates, can participate in the SaveOnBrew experience.

SaveOnBrew.Com, billed as "the world's only beer price-search engine," announced that they can now post deals that don't expire in their database, paving way for states with liquor laws prohibiting the act, as well as opening doors for year-long specials commonly found in convenience and liquor stores.

"When we conceived of SaveOnBrew, we wanted to create a sense of urgency by showing the number of days left until a deal expired," said Mark Davidson, one of the founders. "But as time went by, and we began to understand the myriad of state laws, we realized we needed to be more flexible in our offering."

It began with requests from Pennsylvania. "I don't think anyone will disagree that Pennsylvania's beer laws are some of the most archaic and anti-commerce," said Davidson.

"Pennsylvania is a great state, with hundreds of thousands of enthusiastic beer drinkers, but we couldn't list some deals because, per local ordinances, deals could not have an expiration date," he continued.

After understanding the limitation, SaveOnBrew directed its programmers to make the change so that deals could be show in the SaveOnBrew beer deal list, but not show an expiration date. "Everyone wins. Now states like Pennsylvania, or any other municipality that's barred from posting deals with expiration dates, can participate in the SaveOnBrew experience."

The web site, in business since 2010, posts deals from more than 50,000 vendors and at any given time has more than 300,000 advertised beer deals on the site.

"We like to think we're all things beer," said Davidson. "Put in your zip code, find the deals. Now the good folks of Pennsylvania can get in on the party."

Davidson encourages Pennsylvania businesses to contact SaveOnBrew to arrange adding the stores and deals to the web site. "It's simple and free," he adds.
