CTN Exhibitions Ltd and sister company One Up Display Service Limited, supplied the red carpet for the premiere of the movie of Les Miserables in London.
And they were back in action the following night providing the red carpet for the premier of Tom Cruise’s new Jack Reacher film in Leicester Square.
Directed by The King’s Speech’s Academy Award-winning director Tom Hooper, Les Misérables is set to be a box office hit with Jackman taking the lead role of Jean Valjean, Hathaway as Fantine, and Oscar-winner Russell Crowe as ruthless policeman Javert.
The film is set to open in cinemas on January 11, and the stars were out in force at the premiere at the same venue last week.
Emma Davies, sales and marketing executive from CTN, said the companies were proud to be asked to supply the iconic carpet for the prestigious occasion. “The red carpet epitomises a film premiere and to think that these superstars were on a carpet supplied by CTN and One Up is amazing,” she said.
The company also experienced a taste of pop stardom when chart-topper and X-Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos chose their floor covering as the stage to launch her new clothing line for Bank at a pop up store in London especially created for the event.
Ms Davies said: “The flooring, Terrazzo Vinyl, is hard wearing, anti-slip and has a textured finish and most importantly, it withstood Tulisa’s high heels at the event."
After the event, another high profile client placed an order for red Party Vinyl – a slightly thicker version of the version we supplied for Tulisa – for use within BHS' flagship store on Oxford Street.”
As well as providing carpets for showbiz events such as the premiere of Keira Knightley’s Anna Karenina, CTN and One Up have also supplied carpets and vinyl coverings to the event, exhibition and marquee industry for fashion shows, marquee weddings and parties. Rob Forey, CTN and One Up’s business development executive, said the company was finding business was strong despite tough economic conditions.
