Chicago, IL (PRWEB) January 03, 2013
Spark Ventures (http://www.sparkventures.org) announces four life changing volunteer travel opportunities for 2013. This suite of trips includes the organization’s two inaugural volunteer trips to Nicaragua. The 2013 trips will be the first opportunity to engage with Spark’s newest partner organization and the children they serve. Also available in 2013 are two of Spark’s well-reviewed and highly demanded trips to Zambia.
Participants on Spark Ventures Partnership Trips experience unparalleled international volunteer opportunities while visiting one of Spark’s partner organizations in Zambia or Nicaragua. These unique journeys allow participants to bond with the children that Spark and its partners support through targeted volunteer programming. In addition to the volunteer engagement opportunities, Partnership Trips are filled with incredible cultural experiences like a visit to the colonial city of Granada, Nicaragua or one of the seven natural wonders of the world, Victoria Falls.
“We are thrilled to expand on our successful track record of unforgettable Partnership Trips in Zambia. With our first ever trip to Nicaragua in April 2013 we look forward to giving a whole new group of individuals the opportunity to experience Spark close-up.” says Rich Johnson, CEO of Spark Ventures.
Participants on the Nicaragua trip will take part in a six-day all expenses paid trip including meals, lodging, and local transportation. The trip participants will spend time with Sparks' partnering organization, Las Tías, volunteering with their creative programs while interacting with their staff and children. Volunteer participants will learn about Nicaraguan history and the effects of extreme poverty. They will also have ample opportunity to enjoy the food, dance, music, and natural beauty of the land.
Travelers who join the Zambia trip have the opportunity to take part in a nine-day, all expenses paid trip including time spent directly with the children served by Spark Ventures' foundational partner organization, Hope Ministries. Participants will also enjoy an unforgettable safari in Botswana and a magnificent trip to Victoria Falls. The trip includes all in-country expenses including meals, lodging and local transportation.
The dates for the 2013 Nicaragua trips are April 16-21 and October 1-6. Registration will end 30 days prior to trip departure dates, or once trip capacity is filled. The cost for the Nicaragua trip is $1,500. This cost covers all expenses throughout the duration of the trip (does not include international airfare). The dates for the 2013 Zambia trips are February 3-11 and July 14-22. Registration will end 30 days prior to trip departure dates, or once trip capacity is filled. The Zambia trip cost is $3,000.
