On December 1st, Gingko Home Furnishings opened a new retail location at 810 Valencia Street San Francisco, CA.

Gingko Home Furnishings has returned to San Francisco by expanding their location with a new 2500 square foot retail showroom. Over the past several months, Gingko has worked to redesign the space by creating a unique retail environment. Gingko offers hand crafted solid walnut furniture and custom upholstery in San Francisco and Mountain View, CA.

Owner Jerry Hsia designs and creates furniture that marries Asian inspiration and contemporary Northern Californian functionality. Some of Hsia’s influences include Mission style design and mid-century modern design. Putting a modern twist on those timeless styles, Gingko’s furniture can fit into any home interior.

At Gingko, customers will find pieces that are crafted to last. The primary wood used is Walnut, and it is kiln and air dried to be more stable in a large variety of environments. Due to variations in the wood, each piece is truly unique. When the piece is completed, the wood is treated and finished to protect its natural beauty from everyday use.

In the new location, the full line of furniture, from living and dining tables to media storage and office furniture will be showcased. After joining the thriving set of shops on Valencia Street, Gingko’s owner Jerry Hsia said, “We are excited to return to the city and particularly to join the vibrant independent retail community on Valencia Street. We are grateful to our many San Francisco-base customers who remained loyal to us as we found the perfect home base.”

About the company:

Started in San Francisco in 2002, Gingko designs and builds a broad collection of designs for every room in the home. Their unique aesthetic sensibility is a combination of iconic contemporary lines with a cosmopolitan Asian influence. Built using sustainably sourced walnut timber, pieces are individually crafted by skilled woodworkers in our Beijing workshop using traditional Asian carpentry methods. "Our commitment is to produce beautiful pieces of lasting quality that will endure the tests of time", says Founder, Jerry Hsia.
