Potomac Photonics has developed technology to miniaturize the programmable devices.

Microfabrication leader Potomac Photonics will unveil what they believe to be the World's Smallest Arduino at the 2013 International CES. They will be part of Eureka Park at CES, one of 20 Tech Zones that will feature the largest collection of the latest technology the industry has to offer. Potomac was given the opportunity to participate through their NSF SBIR Phase II work on miniaturized micro-wireless sensors.

Under a grant from the National Science Foundation, Potomac has developed technology to miniaturize the programmable devices. The new micro-sized open source Potomac Arduino microcontroller operates with the same programming code and I/O capabilities as larger models, but occupies only a small fraction of the volume.
