ShinyReputation.com expresses their perspective today on an article published by the Journal Sentinel regarding the altercation that severely tarnished a court justice, high court, and a court house’s reputation. SR includes tips businesses can follow in order to keep their reputation from being tarnished and on the edge of ruin.

After a physical altercation in a Madison, Wisconsin high court between two court justices the courthouse is continuing to deal with a declining reputation. The justice in question was accused of wrapping his hands around the neck of another after a verbal spat. When this information was released to the media it cracked open a string of other problematic situations taking place in this high court. Because of this many no longer believe that the high court is operating professionally.

While most incidents such as this one don’t happen to the average business the implications of abuse and bad service can be the same and could easily cause potential customers to think twice.

ShinyReputation.com offers these tips to keep businesses from killing their own reputation:

  • Refrain from verbal or physical altercations on the business grounds or over the business’ phone line at all times no matter the issue.
  • Should circumstance approach the argumentative or dangerous stage call the police to help stop the problem before it fully escalates.
  • On a technology and basic level, monitor websites remotely by making sure the business’ computer hardware and website are not malfunctioning.
  • Should an issue appear on the server scan it using a server monitoring service to locate the specific bugs or problems.

The Journal Sentinel was created in response to the disparaging statements being made about the east side of town of Milwaukee by the west side’s partisan newspaper. It has become the primary newspaper in Milwaukee, and the largest newspaper in Wisconsin.
