ORLANDO, Fla. (PRWEB) January 07, 2013
XOS Digital, Inc., the leading provider of content management solutions and digital media services for collegiate and professional sports organizations, announced today at the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) conference in Nashville, Tenn., the official launch of the XOS ThunderCloud portfolio, a cloud-based digital media management platform. The announcement was made by Chris McCleary, CEO, XOS Digital.
“At XOS Digital we value innovation and pride ourselves in staying on the forefront of today’s technology,” McCleary said. “As technology advances, more and more of the industry is migrating to the cloud, and XOS Digital is excited to provide the most advanced, secure and robust digital content management platform in sports.”
The ThunderCloud platform enables XOS Digital to provide enhanced products and services by integrating data, video and content on a single platform to seamlessly manage, distribute and analyze information. Several ThunderCloud products have been beta tested this season in both the collegiate and professional markets.
“We have received exceptional feedback and positive reviews throughout the season,” McCleary said. “The migration to the cloud allows us more flexibility to expand our reach in the market and provide a cohesive platform with affordable solutions to sports organizations at any level.”
Today XOS Digital officially launched the first three products in the line: ThunderCloud Playbook, ThunderCloud Scout and ThunderCloud Exchange.
XOS ThunderCloud Playbook offers a digital alternative to the traditional playbook, serving as a teaching tool for coaches and players while eliminating printing costs. Playbook, available through the internet and its native iPad app, links play diagrams to embedded video and comes with a variety of intuitive annotation features including notes and highlighting tools. Teams utilizing XOS ThunderCloud Playbook include the University of Georgia, New York Jets, Jacksonville Jaguars and the University of Washington.
XOS ThunderCloud Scout integrates video, quantitative data and qualitative information so that organizations can evaluate players more thoroughly through capabilities such as player profile “snapshots,” player comparisons, a proprietary “plays like” feature and a player board ranking for recruiting, drafts, or free agency. Teams using Scout can analyze hundreds of pieces of proprietary and third-party information on players, teams, leagues and agents. The Buffalo Bills, along with several teams from the NFL, NBA and European Football clubs, are currently using XOS ThunderCloud Scout.
XOS ThunderCloud Exchange streamlines and simplifies video trade with a secure file exchanging service managed through the cloud. Exchange supports multiple formats and can be uploaded and exchanged directly from the XOS Thunder™ coaching platform. The Pac-12 utilizes XOS ThunderCloud Exchange to share film among the conference’s basketball officials.
“This is just the beginning of an exciting year for XOS Digital,” McCleary said. “The products in this suite revolutionize the way sports organizations operate, from improving team performance, to monetizing digital assets and engaging with fans.”
XOS Digital will launch additional products from the XOS ThunderCloud suite throughout 2013.
