On January 9, 2013, Spartan Race commends ex Patriots running back Kevin Faulk, following a blog post by Carrie Adams regarding Faulk’s first ever Spartan Race where Faulk tested his athleticism off the field.
According to Carrie Adams’ blog post, “Spartans from far and wide descended on Fenway Park for the first of its kind Obstacle Course Race in a major league ballpark.”
The blog mentioned one of the Spartans that day was former three-time Super Bowl champion running back for the New England Patriots, Kevin Faulk.
According to the blog, Faulk was a big part of Boston sports setting the Patriots kick return record for 2,561 kick return yards in his career with New England. Faulk was quoted in the blog as stating, “I had the pleasure of making an appearance at the Spartan Race in Boston, it was one of the best experiences ever!”
Faulk also stated in the blog that going through the Spartan Race obstacles reminded him of NFL training camp during his playing days. According to Faulk, “You have to have your mind right and get ready for the challenge ahead, the course is not only physically challenging but also mentally.”
Spartan Race commends Kevin Faulk on his successful race and for being a part of Spartan Race history. It meant a great deal to the Boston area fans to get to meet and race alongside Faulk, making this race an even more memorable experience.
