On January 8, 2013, collection agency Rapid Recovery Solution commented on a Madison-St. Clair Record article by Kelly Hollerman regarding a medical practice suing for billing company’s inadequate attempt at collecting debt.
According to the Madison-St. Clair Record article, “A medical care business claims it lost more than $50,000 after a billing corporation allegedly failed to make adequate attempts to collect debts on behalf of the business.”
The article states that, Family Care Medical Services claims it hired C&S Billing Center Corp. to send billing information to Medicare and others and do a follow up to collect debts. However, according to the complaint, after Brightree acquired C&S they never followed through with their agreement.
According to the article, the suit states, “This lack of due diligence and breach of agreement on the part of Brightree resulted in collection losses exceeding $50,000.” The complaint alleges that due to the breach in agreement, Family Care Medical Services tried to end their contract with Brightree by paying a remaining balance of $927.50, stated the article.
John Monderine, CEO of collection agency Rapid Recovery Solution, offers his comments and thoughts on the recent news. “This is just clearly unacceptable on the part of Brightree,” says Monderine. “If a company hires you to collect on a debt, you do what needs to be done to make sure your client receives the money that is owed to them, bottom line.”
