About the founder of flattenme

Over the past 20 years, Margo MacDonald Redfern has worked with the likes of Microsoft, Yahoo and Polaroid launching new products into the market. In her first entrepreneurial adventure, Redfern started Nuclei Group, LLC in 2000 - a product and brand strategy firm specializing in integrating the voice of the customer into new products. Redfern’s latest baby, flattenme, allows Redfern to focus on the things she is passionate about – children, books and literacy. Redfern is also the founder of a PreK-8th grade school in Lake Tahoe, California. Redfern says “Our lives are defined by stories. We take a story that starts as a moment in time – in the case of flattenme, a photograph – and make it something entirely new. There is something powerful about a child seeing themselves in their own adventure”.

Redfern holds a BA from Colgate University and a MBA in Marketing from Cornell University. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and four children, plus nurturing things that don’t talk back – like gardens and furry creatures.
