AAPC (http://www.aapc.com), the leader in credentialing the business side of medicine, has changed the title of its popular monthly medical coding magazine from Coding Edge to AAPC Cutting Edge: Perfecting Practice & Revenue Cycle Management. The new name reflects AAPC’s expansion into all areas of practice management and the business side of medicine.

“Cutting edge” implies progression, forward-looking, sharpness, and leading the way—attributes AAPC strives to exemplify to better meet the needs of a growing and broadening membership with diverse roles in the industry. AAPC’s training and certification now encompass medical coding, billing, auditing, compliance, and practice management.

“We aim to make physician practices far more efficient, and our members will be instrumental in accomplishing that goal,” said AAPC Director of Publishing Brad Ericson, MPC, CPC, COSC. “The expansion of our magazine in pages and scope helps our members share their expertise and learn from experts, making them more efficient in the management of the outpatient revenue cycle.”

The updated magazine compiles articles to educate AAPC members on all aspects of the business side of medicine, creating a perfect survival package for the future of health care.
