LGL's mission is to increase student achievement with world-class math and literacy diagnostic assessments and world-class personalized math and literacy instruction!
Kensington, CA (PRWEB) January 15, 2013
Math teachers and students in K-7 just got what they've been asking for -- more personalized tools for learning mathematics. Let's Go Learn's online diagnostic math assessment ADAM K-7 now links individual students to Khan Academy's library of over 3,000 instructional resources.
Richard Capone, Let’s Go Learn's founder and CEO, describes the excitement surrounding the announcement: “Teachers and parents have inundated us with calls to add more ways to personalize math instruction. Last year we added LGL Math Edge, which provides over 300 lessons aligned to CCSS and state standards. And now students can link from their ADAM K-7 reports to Khan Academy videos.”
The Let's Go Learn online ADAM K-7 system covers numbers and operations, algebra, geometry, data analysis, and measurement. The system diagnoses students, analyzes and reports on strengths and weaknesses, links to personalized instruction, and tracks student performance.
Paul Giganti, Jr., a math education specialist on Let's Go Learn's advisory board puts it this way, “We want to make math learning accessible to every student. For example, success in algebra is a predictor of success in post-secondary academics. Every student needs to be able to understand and apply algebraic thinking. We give teachers and students the tools they need to be successful.”
After teachers assign ADAM K-7's online diagnostic assessment, they can use LGL Math Edge and the Khan Academy videos to differentiate math instruction and for individual math tutoring and math homework. These programs also fit into blended, flipped, and traditional classrooms. Capone sums it up: “Let's Go Learn's mission is to increase student achievement with world-class math and literacy diagnostic assessments and world-class personalized math and literacy instruction!”
