Lloyd Irvin of Team Lloyd Irvin and MMA Millionaires fame premiered the first episode of his new reality spin off show The Next World Champion: The BJJ Kumite in Orlando, Florida this past weekend.

Orlando was the back drop for Irvin's MMA Millionaires event - at 4-day workshop for school owners from all over the world. UFC fighter Joe Lauzon, grappling phenom Eddie Bravo, black belt world champion Raphael Lovato, Jr. among many other stars from the grappling and MMA world were present for the world premiere.

Last month, Irvin hosted Brazilian Jiu Jitsu brown belts from all over the world to compete in a no time limit submission only tournament that would ultimately change their lives. Initially all of the athletes traveled to Camp Springs, Maryland for the opportunity to fight Keenan Cornelius in the final match however Irvin presented the first twist by announcing that Keenan would be a part of the tournament. The athletes were thrilled and expressed that it was only fair that Keenan participate like everyone else. Irvin threw another twist in the mix by allowing the athletes to pick their first matches. As the most decorated brown belt, Luke Costello from the UK was given the first pick. Luke's first pick shocked Irvin as well as the other athletes. The drama continued as the athletes grappled their way through a long hard day of matches the longest of which lasted over one hour.

These athletes admitted that the BJJ Kumite was absolutely the hardest thing they have ever done in their lives. Tempers flared, tears were shed and bonds were made. Irvin has once again proven the power for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to bring people together in a way that is so incredibly powerful that the no one can walk away unaffected - including the viewer.
