"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled."

In his new book Let the Beatitudes BE My Attitude in You, author Marlin Harris follows this call by offering a rich, one-of-a-kind study of the eight blessings Jesus delivered in the Sermon on the Mount known as the Beatitudes.

“These powerful spiritual principles empower us to surrender ourselves to God and live humbly as Jesus did on earth,” says Harris. “We mustn’t pass them by.”

Harris, who served as a missionary for fifteen years in Bangladesh, Costa Rica and Paraguay, says he felt the Beatitudes beckoning him throughout his service.

He uses a distinct mix of geographical topography for visual portrayal, Beatitude moments in the lives of biblical characters and contemporary Christian song lyrics to bring the principles to life.

Elaborating on each of the eight Beatitudes in separate chapters, with a background introduction and conclusion on incorporating them, he ends with a fictional story about a man’s journey of remaking himself in Christ through the Beatitudes.
