My Big Campus, the social Learning Management System (LMS) from Lightspeed Systems, is pleased to announce the entire collection of K-12 resources from NBC Learn is now available for educators and students to view and share. For more than 80 years, NBC News has been documenting the people, places, and events that have shaped our world. And now, My Big Campus is honored to partner with NBC Learn to make these resources available to educators, parents, and students.

NBC News offers over 14,000 unique collections of video resources, primary sources, historic footage, images, mini-documentaries and text resources designed for use in the K-12 classroom covering two dozen subject areas. The videos are aligned with state and Common Core standards—allowing teachers to supplement their lessons with historical and current content—and all resources include captions, downloadable transcripts, citation information, note-taking feature, and more. Teachers using the safe, collaborative LMS can engage and inspire students with the K-12 collection from NBC Learn, ready to use and share in the My Big Campus Resource Library.

My Big Campus combines the functionality of an LMS with a social networking site and library of educational resources. The innovative solution is able to offer schools with a complete classroom management tool. Lightspeed Systems and My Big Campus understand the importance of giving teachers and students safe access to important and valuable content. By making the NBC Learn collection of resources available to My Big Campus users, teachers are able to easily incorporate high-quality, trusted, Common Core aligned, and copyright/permission cleared educational videos covering a wide-range of topics into the classroom.

Offered as a tool for educators, the NBC Learn collection in My Big Campus provides teachers with safe and appropriate videos—updated daily, mapped to curriculum, and aligned with standards. These relevant, brief videos are searchable by topic and can be easily found in the Resource Library. Teachers and students can add the videos to Bundles, post on classroom walls, share in discussions, add to assignments in Schoolwork, and more, making the videos a valuable component of online collaboration and learning.

NBC Learn is a subscription service. Schools who subscribe have complete access to the resources inside My Big Campus. Non-subscribers are able to preview the videos in the Resource Library. My Big Campus is offering live webinars this month to train users how to access NBC Learn content and learn how these dynamic resources can bring engaged, collaborative learning to the classroom.
