Intermedix Corporation, a leading provider of technology-enabled solutions for the US healthcare and emergency response industries, announced the completion of three acquisitions today: Anesthesia Revenue Management (ARM), Practice Support Resources (PSR), and ESi.

ARM provides revenue cycle management services to anesthesiologists and CRNA’s in the Midwestern and Northeastern United States. ARM has demonstrated deep industry expertise and leadership for over 22 years. Partnering with ARM allows Intermedix to better serve clients as a national leader in all aspects of healthcare delivery; from pre-hospital to hospital-based care.

Karen Alford, co-founder and CEO of ARM, will lead anesthesiology physician services at Intermedix. Marc Hollerbach, co-founder of ARM, will lead the anesthesia business development effort at Intermedix. Mary Krause, head of operations at ARM, will lead the anesthesia revenue cycle management operation at Intermedix.

PSR specializes in people management, financial management, and practice management solutions that enable physicians to focus on practicing medicine while achieving their financial goals. The company aggregates data from many sources, such as physician scheduling and shift reporting, billing records, patient satisfaction surveys, and national databases. This data drives meaningful practice analytics for clients, including benchmarking that enhances profitability and quality. With the addition of PSR’s capabilities, Intermedix can help clients overcome the challenges of modern medical care and navigate the changes associated with healthcare reform by providing:

  •     A more complete business management package that includes practice management and revenue cycle management
  •     The opportunity to participate in new quality-based payment models
  •     Provider benchmarking and exception alerting capabilities
  •     Patient satisfaction and readmission prevention programs

David Singley, CEO of PSR, will oversee physician services at Intermedix including practice management and revenue cycle management for all physician specialties. Frank Adams, President of PSR, will lead the PSR operation for Intermedix.

ESi—the developer and marketer of WebEOC—is the global leader in crisis incident management, providing technology solutions for businesses and governments across the United States and internationally. The company’s proprietary technology and crisis management expertise will make it possible for Intermedix to better serve clients in all aspects of emergency management, including disaster preparedness, situational awareness, and incident response.

ESi principals John O’Dell, Nadia Butler, and Paul Butler will continue in senior leadership roles at Intermedix.

Doug Shamon, CEO of Intermedix, describes how these acquisitions support the company’s mission, vision, and values:

“Intermedix is passionate about providing the highest value to our customers and we are constantly exploring ways to better serve their needs. These acquisitions support our vision of connecting the full spectrum of emergency management with interoperable and mobile technology-enabled solutions, and they support our objective of continuing to enhance our offerings.
