Eduardo V. Rodriguez is a San Antonio bankruptcy attorney with Malaise Law Firm. Recently, it was confirmed by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization (TBLS) that Mr. Rodriguez passed the attorney certification examination to become Board Certified in Consumer Bankruptcy Law. According to the TBLS, there are more than 70,000 licensed attorneys in the state of Texas and only 7,000 are recognized as Board Certified specialists in one of any of the 21 qualifying practice areas. Currently, Mr. Rodriguez is one of only 140 attorneys in the state of Texas listed on the attorney directory for Board Certification in Consumer Bankruptcy Law.

Consumer bankruptcy involves providing individuals with debt relief options. Mr. Rodriguez has passed the written legal examination in order to be considered a specialist in these issues. As a consumer bankruptcy attorney, Mr. Rodriguez provides legal advice and representation for clients faced with Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies. He is also equipped to counsel his clients on other consumer debt issues such as credit card debt, bankruptcy exemptions, wage garnishments and related topics. Eduardo V. Rodriguez has been a member of the State Bar of Texas since May 3, 1996.

In order to become Board Certified by the TBLS, only approved applicants are able to take the day-long examination. These exams test the attorneys on their knowledge, skills and overall grasp of the subject matter in their particular specialty area. A Board Certification is a valuable asset, according to the TBLS, because it is “a mark of excellence and a distinguishing accomplishment” and it “means an attorney has substantial, relevant experience in a select field of law.”

To mark his accomplishment in passing the TBLS Board Certification examination, Mr. Rodriguez will attend the TBLS Induction Ceremony and Reception which is held in honor of all 2012 inductees. This ceremony is taking place on February 5, 2013.

Eduardo V. Rodriguez is the managing Corpus Christi Bankruptcy Lawyer at the Rio Grande Valley office location of Malaise Law Firm. The firm has more than 40 years of collective experience in bankruptcy law and represents clients throughout the state of Texas with office locations in San Antonio, Corpus Christi, Brownsville, Harlingen and more. Malaise Law Firm is proud to say that they now have a Board Certified Consumer Bankruptcy Lawyer on staff.
