A shotgun responds a lot faster than a call to 911. In this day and age where local municipality budgets are being stretched to their limits, police forces are being reduced to accommodate diminishing budgets.

The national debate on guns and gun laws is heating up everywhere from Congress to social media. Perspectives are pouring in from all types of concerned citizens. Off The Grid News, a self-reliance news organization, offers a “prepper’s” perspective on the shotgun as the ultimate home defense weapon.
The importance of owning a firearm to protect one’s family is building traction after Fox News published a news segment about a Georgia mother’s run-in with an intruder. Within the news segment, America Live anchor, Megyn Kelly interviews syndicated radio host Lars Larson. During the interview, Larson makes a point about how this mother of two would have been nearly defenseless had there been more than one intruder.
According to Brian Brawdy, a former New York police investigator and Military Survival Expert, “A shotgun responds a lot faster than a call to 911. In this day and age where local municipality budgets are being stretched to their limits, police forces are being reduced to accommodate diminishing budgets which in turn increases wait time during a response.”
Larson argues that the Feinstein proposal that was introduced by the senator on December 17, 2012 (according to her website) would have placed this Georgia woman in greater danger had there been more than one assailant. Larson goes on to say, “This president wants to take away people’s rights to own the appropriate tool to repel an invader or invaders into their houses.”
Senator Feinstein’s proposal is also the center of opposition from a former U.S. Marine, Cpl. Joshua Boston. In a follow up interview on FoxNews regarding his letter to the senator that has since gone viral, Cpl. Boston states, “This idea that the rights of existing gun owners is strictly limited to hunting and sporting purposes is just absurd and has no basis in the Bill of Rights and is not what it is for.”
