The Modahnik Spring Summer 2013 Collection is designed for the woman who seeks pieces that are unique, sophisticated and wearable. The dresses and separates, made of silk chiffon and silk sateen, are mixed with bold geometric African-inspired prints with a colorful palette consisting of pink and berry. The S/S 2013 Collection displays the solid craftsmanship and tailoring of Designer Kahindo Mateene. Pockets and fabric manipulation are just some of the fine details included in the collection.
Kahindo Mateene, the designer and founder, explains her S/S 2013 inspiration came from two of her favorite TV shows, Spartacus and Game of Thrones. “I really wanted to play around with draping that was prevalent in the Greco-Roman time period, and give it my unique modern spin,” stated Mateene.
