Summit Vacations, the popular Breckenridge rental company, announces plans for their 23rd annual Budweiser International Sculpture Championship in Breckenridge. People taking part of the event will be reserving rooms with Summit Vacations for this spectacular event. The event will feature the world’s top artists, carving mammoth 22-ton monoliths of snow into tremendous sculptures. The town of Breckenridge attracts artists each year from countries such as Russia, China, Japan, Morocco, Belize, France, New Zealand, Mexico, Spain, Great Britain, Canada, and many more. Summit Vacation rentals are home to these diverse artists, during their stay in Breckenridge, Colorado. There is no better way to spend the first winter vacation of 2013, than by enjoying the events in Breckenridge.
The event staff is looking for people to help with office tasks, technical aid, snow stomping, merchandise sale, program distributors, and much more. Volunteers of the events will have a chance to see how the giant blocks of snow are created and it is a great chance to interact with the sculptors and artists.
Volunteers will be helping create the enormous snow blocks the week of January 15th. The opening ceremony of the 23rd annual Budweiser International Snow Sculpture Championship kicks off the sculpting on Tuesday morning, January 22nd, and sculpting ends Saturday morning, January 26th, when the judges choose the winners. People’s choice voting is Saturday and Sunday, January 26-27, with the awards ceremony Sunday afternoon in the Riverwalk Center. The sculptures will remain on display until February 3rd. Visitors staying in the Breckenridge vacation rentals will have the chance to vote for the People’s Choice Award. Children in particular enjoy picking out the group’s best sculpture.
About Summit Vacations:
During the winter, the world-class peaks at Breckenridge come alive with skiers and snowboarders who all enjoy the champagne powder and beautiful weather. In fact, the Breckenridge ski resort is a competitor amongst the country’s top ski resorts because it has one of the highest chairlifts in North America, and a gondola ski lift that allows skiers to board directly from the parking lot. Not all of Breckenridge’s winter guests are there to ski. In fact, the main attraction for many visitors is in exploring the scenery and landscapes just outside their Breckenridge condo either on snowshoes, cross-country skis, or snowmobiles.
