The Home Builders Association of Greater Springfield named Matt Bailey, president of the Bailey Company, its 2012 Building Member of the Year. HBA of Greater Springfield presented Bailey with the award at its annual Christmas party, which was held Dec. 11, 2012, at the White River Conference Center.
According to the HBA of Greater Springfield, Bailey, who recently finished his second year as president of the association’s board of directors, has been “instrumental in keeping the board focused on achieving goals laid out in the 2011 home builders association strategic plan.”
“As always, this type of award is really the result of everyone doing their part and someone getting special recognition,” Bailey said. “I am honored to have been named building member of the year by the HBA, and I look forward to being involved with this tremendous group for a long time.”
In addition to recognizing Bailey for his ability to keep the board on the path of adhering to the 2011 home builders association strategic plan, the HBA of Greater Springfield lauded Bailey for several other major accomplishments over the past two years. These accomplishments include organizing and participating in Legislative Day, reorganizing the board’s government affairs committee into three advocacy committees, working with Rogersville and Republic to reduce impact fees, leading the development of the Sponsorship & Advertising Tools Annual Catalog and streamlining the process to become an HBA member.
