Bay Area Christian school hires a local award winning web design and marketing firm, KO Websites, to build a new cutting edge html 5 website

Redwood Christian Schools (RCS), an interdenominational Bay Area Christian school with campuses in Castro Valley and San Lorenzo, hired local website design and marketing firm, KO Websites, to build a new, improved website that will allow the school to better connect with students, parents, staff, and alumni. The new site can be found at

The previous website was built on a platform that was not current with modern content management capabilities, HTML 5 standards, navigation, or social media connections. The new site is built on a WordPress platform that offers a more user-friendly interface. The website serves several RCS schools and organizations operated by Redwood Christian Schools.

"Basically, we broke the website and content up into three sections," says Ken O'Donnell, owner of KO Websites. "The top part of the home page is for marketing to prospective new families, the middle part is packed with current events for existing students, families and alumni —including a dedicated Twitter feed for up-to-the moment announcements from the district office—and the bottom part of the home page is dedicated to live media feeds from the school’s new blog, YouTube and Facebook accounts. Additionally, we added a robust internal search engine and organized the communications from their social media channels into one central hub. In short, it brings everything together in one seamless platform – even for those who don’t use Twitter or Facebook.”

With campus locations in the San Francisco east bay, Redwood Christian Schools has been teaching students with high-quality, Christian-based education since 1970. The school serves nearly 600 students in grades K-12 on their two campuses. For more information about the school, visit RCS at
