This anthology unravels the importance of appreciating each day and on survival and acceptance in the face of life's greatest losses and sorrows. It is a heartrending, piercing narrative of a mother who recognizes and reminisces her memories of her youngest son on Earth, and subtly expresses the true essence of a mother's love in the face of a tragic and unforeseen circumstance.
A death in a family can be heartbreaking, but the unexpected death of a healthy child can leave a family lost. Daniel had a good life and wonderful plans ahead, yet these things cast a haze on the day of his passing. A shocking and harrowing incident caught the Krehbiel family in a downward spiral. At first, the family was covered in emotions of pain, denial, and anger. Then, Krehbiel herself shares the occurrences within the family which lead the family down a trail of acceptance, faith, and of living afterward as Daniel would have wanted them to. Eventually, the Krehbiel family learns that despite the loss of Daniel, that his presence on Earth was already a great gift from God, and that the greatest sorrow was not losing him, but would have been if Daniel had never been born to their family in the first place.
What I Learned from Daniel is a dramatic and triumphant journey of a family which leaves room for after death communication and for God. In the heartwarming and detailed life story of Daniel, readers will discover the importance of life and of family. It will touch their hearts and souls as it reveals life lessons which are worth emulating. Through the pages of this book, readers will realize that life has its own great purpose and meaning, and that it's up to them to discover and realize its profound and great reasons.
