Man’s best friend doesn’t have to be a dog. These days, so many people wanting a pet choose to adopt a cat as they are very often not as high maintenance as a dog. They don’t need walking; they are very happy left alone for hours at a time sleeping which is one of their favorite pastimes. In addition, they are small enough to sneak up onto the bed at night without disturbing one's sleep. Cats can be just as rewarding as dogs, and there is much talk that stroking a warm cat snuggled up on one’s lap can be very calming and therapeutic.

A Tale of Two Cats written by Annette M. Lawrence is a journal of the everyday lives of two distinctly different but very lucky cats named EC and Pest who enjoyed the company of the loving humans who adopted them, as told in their very own words with the help of their mom.
