For author Tricia O'Hara, cooking has always been an exciting and enjoying challenge. In her new book made available through Xlibris, SARATOGA GRAZING: Cookbook, she divulges the best dishes of the northeastern part of the United States, specifically, Saratoga Springs, New York, and the surrounding counties.
“Writing a cookbook that focuses on selected regions of the United States generates an authentic sense of intimacy,” the author shares. This book contains delectable recipes that originate from some of the finest restaurants, bed and breakfasts, and hotels located in the Saratoga Springs area including Albany, Berlin, Gansevoort, Glens Falls, Gloversville, Guilderland, and more. Executive Chef’s sent in their most wanted recipes. B&B’s have shared their homemade favorites. The community of Saratoga Springs and the surrounding counties sent in award-winning recipes.
Containing photographs and vintage images, SARATOGA GRAZING: Cookbook is not only a cookbook that includes fabulous recipes passed down from generation to generation, but is also a warm and cozy book that drifts back in time to the good old days, depicting bits and pieces of history from the early nineteenth century through the twentieth century.
The 2010 New England Book Festival recently announced their winners for 2010. The festival judges selected Saratoga Grazing as the Winner in the cookbook category for its annual competition honoring the best books of the holiday season.
