Author Marcy has experienced rough patches in her life’s journey. These difficult moments have taught her to hold on to God and rely on Him for strength. It has also let her see how precious hope and inspiration is in today’s times. In her new book, Words of Encouragement, she invites readers on a celebration of renewal while she shares hope and motivation in the form of poetry.
In 1992, Marcy became ill and was comatose for almost three months, even doctors lost hope. Miraculously she survived the ordeal yet this was only the beginning of other similar tests on her health. In 2006, Marcy became sick from previous surgeries and underwent three more operations in 2007 and another two in 2009. Words of Encouragement is a triumphant testament of how good God was to Marcy during that trying period in her life and it is a reminder for others that they, too, can experience the same grace. She says,
“He is the reason I’m here today, and that’s why I write. I want you to hold on to God’s unchanging hands, and He will be there for you just like He was and still is there for me today. If there’s anything that I can say to you, it is to never give up on God, and whatever you go through, just keep the faith and believe because God will never fail.”
Enriching and beautifully written, Words of Encouragement is a treasure trove of poetry that will speak to the heart, soothe the spirit and nourish the soul.
