Jennies Chocolate Drizzle Macaroons

“We have taken our original, all natural Jennies macaroon and have created a truly delectable sweet that will make dessert one of the most memorable parts of the Passover meal,” says Jennies Founder Arnold Badner.

Gone are the days of dry, tasteless desserts for your Passover Seder. This year, Jennies Macaroons is unveiling its new gourmet Passover treat that will leave your guests asking for more.

They are rich, delicious and divine. And the combination of moist coconut with high quality dark chocolate is heavenly.

For the first time, Jennies founder Arnold Badner is mass-producing a gourmet line of chocolate-covered and chocolate-drizzle macaroons. They contain no wheat or leavened ingredients. The Jennies are certified OU Kosher for Passover and are Parve, dairy and gluten-free. Passover begins on March 25th. Retailers and online shoppers are already stocking up.

“The reception has been incredible,” says Badner. “We have taken our original, all natural Jennies macaroon and have created a truly delectable sweet that will make dessert one of the most memorable parts of the Passover meal.”

The chocolate-covered are fully coated with a thick layer of dark chocolate. The drizzle has specks of tasty chocolate flakes resting on a bed of dipped chocolate on the bottom. “It’s a little lighter but exceptionally delicious,” says Badner, who backs up his product with decades of experience.

It all started more than half a century ago in Brooklyn, New York where Badner’s family produced the famed chocolate -covered macaroons seasonally for Passover under the Messing label. Now, the chocolate-drizzle is fast becoming a hit.

In a feature in 2003 on WABC-TV News in New York, Sam Champion raved about the Passover Jennies on air, calling them “better than any candy I’ve ever had anywhere, they’re great!” Customers, family and friends begged Badner to produce the chocolate/coconut snack year-round. They are now available throughout the year but remain
an unleavened Passover favorite.

The Jennies bakery recently moved to Moosic, Pennsylvania where it is possible to “enrobe” the macaroons with chocolate in its new state of the art facility. The gourmet chocolate dipped is the latest addition to a line of coconut macaroons that come in five flavors, omega and sugar-free. They are free of chemicals, nuts and preservatives. They contain the health benefits of sulfite-free coconut and are made with simple ingredients including coconut, egg whites, organic cane sugar/tapioca syrup and dark chocolate. The Jennies are available in health food stores nationwide and in grocery store chains during Passover.
