Additionally, he is a Mine Safety and Health Administration certified structure inspector and a member of the Society for Mining Engineers, the American Society of Mine Reclamation, and the National Mining Association.
Yingling has 10 years of experience in private environmental and engineering consulting, specializing in land use permitting, landscaping, revegetation and reforestation. He regularly presents on topics such as mine planning, environmental management, water conservation, air emissions controls and reclamation.
“Mark’s broad knowledge of this industry, along with his position as a highly respected environmental engineer, make him an asset to Doe Run,” said Jerry Pyatt, president and CEO of Doe Run. “We are extremely proud of our environmental, health and safety progress, and look forward to reaching the next level of performance under his leadership.”
Previously, Yingling held several executive positions at Peabody Energy, the world’s largest private coal company. He served as vice president of global health, safety, and environment and vice president of environment and conservancy. He also served as vice president for Gold Fields Mining LLC, president at Black Stallion Coal Company and Black Walnut Coal Company, and vice president of mine services at Black Beauty Coal Company, all former subsidiaries of Peabody.
