Sellers Dorsey announced today that Mark Shaffer has joined the firm as a Senior Consultant. Mr. Shaffer, who will work primarily with the firm’s growing list of health information technology clients, was most recently a senior official at Magellan Medicaid Administration and responsible for serving accounts in 25 states and the District of Columbia. Mr. Shaffer will be based in Richmond, VA.
Mr. Shaffer comes to Sellers Dorsey with extensive experience in Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS), integrated eligibility and enrollment systems, pharmacy programs, and care management service segments. He has demonstrated experience in successfully planning and delivering new technology solutions and ensuring ongoing operational performance. Over the years Mark has led work in all phases of contracting and delivery of large health information technology systems, including Advance Planning Document input and approval; Request for Proposal and response, implementation, and deployment; and operations and maintenance. Mark’s experience includes senior positions at the nation’s leading health information technology companies, including Electronic Data Systems and Xerox.
