Wang Xiaoyue, Director of China’s International Taxation Department, State Administration of Taxation (SAT), will give a keynote address at Bloomberg BNA and Baker & McKenzie’s Global Transfer Pricing Conference in Paris, March 11-12, 2013.
Ms. Wang has been a central figure in the China SAT’s development of transfer pricing regulations, advance pricing agreements, and other approaches to combat tax avoidance. She will provide valuable insight into the ways the SAT looks to achieve its objective of ensuring tax compliance and the resulting implications on intercompany pricing.
Convening immediately after the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Transfer Pricing Summit, the Bloomberg BNA and Baker & McKenzie Global Transfer Pricing Conference brings together officials from the OECD, the United Nations, and the governments of, among others, Canada, China, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Russia, and the United States—along with leading transfer pricing experts from practice and industry—to give transfer pricing professionals and senior executives the most up-to-date guidance on the challenges and risks posed by new and imminent transfer pricing developments.
Pascal Saint-Amans, Director of the OECD’s Centre for Tax Policy and Administration, will deliver the opening address. Joseph Andrus, Head of the OECD’s Transfer Pricing Unit, will speak about intangibles, and Michael Lennard, Chief of the U.N.’s International Tax Cooperation and Trade, will discuss transfer pricing developments at the United Nations.
