January 2013 is a big month for the family run business Forsyth Glazing as they enter a phase of large scale expansion creating new jobs for the local community of Glasgow.

Founded in 1969 by Hugh Forsyth Molinari the business has seen significant expansion over its 43 year life, starting out as a one man band to now employing over 50 staff and operating from a state of the art factory in Tobago Street, Glasgow.

Over the years the business has grown its skills and specialities offering a plethora of products and services, including but not limited to: sliding wardrobe doors, glass cutting, kitchen splash backs, glass balustrades and picture framing. The company’s continued success is down to its ability to offer unrivaled customer service for their extremely well priced products and services.
Over the previous 18 months Forsyth Glazing have planned and developed a phased expansion plan to grow the business which in 2013 will see the creation of a number of new jobs and opportunities for the local community of Glasgow.

The first phase was the acquisition of the Monaco Bar, situated right in front of the Forsyth Glazing factory obscuring the view from the main road (Tobago Street). The pub dated back to the 1900’s and had relaunched as the New Monaco Bar in 1991, however, sadly had been closed for some time. Not only has this allowed for better visibility for passing by traffic but it has also allowed greater space around the premises for the possibility of further expansion. Finally finished in late 2012 the business can now start to reap the benefits of greater visibility to passing trade.

A successful company re-brand has also been completed which has involved an overhaul of our company work wear, stationary, a new e-commerce website and a new fleet of vans. The brand new company website allows customers to order made to measure sliding wardrobes online with the use of a bespoke wardrobe ordering application along with a host of other products such as frameless glass doors and ready made mirrors. The influx of new company vans including; 4x new Transit’s, 2x Luton’s and 1x 7.5 ton lorry (all decked out in the company livery) have allowed us to decrease delivery times of items to customers and generally improve company logistics.

The business is in a fantastic phase of growth and looks forward to a prosperous 2013.
