Protect America, Inc., the nation’s leading wireless home security provider, has recently announced the launch of a new agent program aimed at small businesses and locally oriented entrepreneurs.

Known as Agent 2.0, the new program will provide revenue opportunities for small and regional home security providers. Participation in the Agent 2.0 program includes marketing resources and support from Protect America. Agents will also get to avoid traditional hassles associated with home security, like upfront investment and inventory storage. Protect America wanted to create a “turnkey” approach that would provide with new revenue streams without added stress, says Scott Fleming, the company’s executive vice president.

“We know how difficult things have been for small companies lately, especially in housing related industries,” Fleming added. “Our new Agent 2.0 program gives offers a new revenue stream to these small businesses without increasing their operating costs. Basically, they get more money without the same risk.”

Improving relations with agents has been one of Fleming’s primary focuses since arriving at Protect America in July 2012. As one of the nation’s ten largest home security companies, Protect America has operated a successful agent program in the past. The new initiative seeks to improve these relations by offering unrivaled terms for joining.

“Our agents receive some of the best benefits in the home security industry,” Fleming said. “This is a great opportunity for businesses to grow because it adds revenue without taking away from the principal focus of each participating company.”

For every qualified sale of a home security system, agents will receive a multiple or a lump sum payout. Agents will also get the option to be a Protect America sub-contractor, allowing agents to pick up additional revenue by servicing security systems. Protect America has also removed the complicated review process for most agent programs, which allows businesses to start almost immediately.
