Several Street Toyota-Scion Employees have taken the challenge of living a healthier and better lifestyle by cutting back on the sweets, sodas and even counting calories.
“We started a new program here at Street Toyota where employees decided to live a healthier lifestyle than they were before,” Misty Lerch, Street Toyota-Scion Office Manager said. “It is a great program because people are becoming healthier and also competing for money.”
Forty-five employees decided to join the program which is called, “Get Healthy and Be Happy.” Employees weighed in on Monday, January 7 and recorded their weight in confidential envelopes and have until March 29, 2013 to lose 10% of their weight. Each employee paid $50 and Street Toyota-Scion matched the total of what employees paid. Each employee who loses the 10% of their weight by March 29 will split the $4,500.
“I am really excited about this program,” Ryan Escalon, Street Toyota-Scion Internet Sales Coordinator said. “I have been making and drinking juices from vegetables and fruits and I have noticed already that I am feeling a lot more energetic and happier.”
